My Memories of Eunice - Dave Lowry

Created by Dave 3 years ago

Memories of teenage years flood back. I was at school with Don, Eunice's brother, in Liverpool and knew the family very well. I was often at their house, Anfield and Orrell Park, being fed tea and 'jam butties' by the Mum. I usually arrived by bike and needed sustenance. As I have no sisters Eunice had probably a bigger influence on me than she ever knew. Don and I were in the middle of our teens and Eunice was a few years older and much more mature. I listened to her carefully and took notice. There was a big gap but then I was very pleased to meet her again in the last few years and renew our friendship. I only wish it could have gone on for longer.

Being a friend of the Carruthers Family, Eunice, Don, Frank and the Mum and Dad, played a big part in my early life which I will treasure always.

Thank you, Eunice, I'm so pleased I knew you.
